海辺の町のおもちゃやさんに置かれていたくまのリッキーが、ある日突然襲ってきた地震、津波に巻き込まれ、海辺に流されてしまう。その後、ボランティアの人に拾い上げられ、以前からそのぬいぐるみを欲しがっていた、避難所に避難している女の子の元にプレゼントされるという心温まるストーリー。

すべての子どもと大人におくる、カラフルな色遣いと、優しいタッチで描かれた、「消えない希望」の物語。

2011年の受難週、壊滅状態にあった被災地の海岸で出会ったピンク色のクマ。私は、神様が私たち一人ひとりに希望を持つことを教えるために、あの灰色の場所に、イースターエッグを持ったこのくまを置いてくださったのだと思います。(あとがきより)

On the shelf of a seaside toy store was a stuffed bear with rainbow-colored Easter eggs on its chest. The girl who comes to the store likes the bear and begs her mother, but she can’t buy it. One day, a bear fell off a shelf due to a strong earthquake and was hit by a large tsunami. While struggling in the sea, they manage to escape the disaster on a bucket that has flowed and are washed up on the beach. After that, what will be the fate of this bear and the girl who liked it? An unexpected ending awaits. This is a creative picture book that embodies the author’s thoughts that “this is not the end” and “hope does not end in disappointment.”
