2011年3月11日午後2時46分、大きな地震が起きた。つなみが起こり、何万人もの人が流された。それだけではなかった。海岸近くにあった原子力発電所が爆発した。オレの村にも放射線がふりそそぎ、畑が汚染され、途方に暮れていた……。「どうやって生きていくべきか」に真摯に向き合った青年を描いたこの絵本には、今でも原発事故は終わっていないという思いがつまっている。

At 2:46 p.m. on March 11, 2011, a major earthquake occurred. A tsunami occurred, tens of thousands of people were swept away. That was not all. A nuclear power plant located near the coast exploded. My village was also sprinkled with radiation, the fields were contaminated, and I was at a loss… This picture book, which depicts a young man who sincerely confronts “how to live,” still conveys the feeling that the nuclear accident is not over.
