The Peach-colored Post Office

東日本大震災で「奇跡の集落」(アエラ/2011年5月合併号)と呼ばれた岩手県大船渡市三陸町吉浜地区。その地域に古くから残る郵便局にまつわるお話です。
「もの色ゆうびんきょく」の物語は、明治三陸大津波と昭和三陸津波に遭遇した後、吉浜村が高台移転した事実を元に描かれています。新沼武右衛門村長(p.12)と柏崎丑太郎村長の手紙(p.16)の内容は、史実に即して記述しておりますが、それ以外の部分は、筆者の創作によるものです。この物語は、事実と空想を重ね合わせたフィクションです。
このお話を通して,子供たちに津波伝承の大切さ、自然との共生、地域の絆の大切さを伝えています。
尚、この作品は、平成28年度「ふるさと・おおふなとお話大賞」において、奨励賞を受賞しています。 ※ 平成28年度ふるさとおおふなとお話大賞“奨励賞”受賞作品。

The Yoshihama district of Sanriku-cho, Ofunato City, Iwate Prefecture, which was called the “miracle village” (Aera/May 2011 merged name) due to the Great East Japan Earthquake. This is a story about a post office that has remained in the area for a long time.
The story of “Monoiro Yubinkyoku” is based on the fact that after encountering the Great Meiji Sanriku Tsunami and the Showa Sanriku Tsunami, Yoshihama Village was relocated to higher ground. The contents of the letters of Mayor Takeemon Niinuma (p.12) and Mayor Yutaro Kashiwazaki (p.16) are written in accordance with historical facts, but the rest of the work is the author’s creation. This story is fiction that superimposes facts and fantasies.
Through this story, we convey to children the importance of tsunami tradition, coexistence with nature, and the importance of community ties.
In addition, this work has won the Encouragement Award at the “Hometown Ofuna and Story Award” in Heisei 28. * Heisei 28 Hometown Ofuna and Story Award “Encouragement Award” winner work.
