3.11、犬小屋ごと飛ばされてしまった飼い犬ポチ。福島原発事故の立ち入り禁止区域に取り残されながらも、必死で生き抜いてきたポチの物語を抽象画で表現した絵本。神戸在住の著者自身も阪神淡路大震災で被災した。福島の原発事故も他人事とは思えず、この物語を書くに至ったという。「この本が、平和な日常の隣にある危険を改めて考えるきっかけとなってくれれば」とつづる。

This picture book expresses the story of Pochi, who was stranded in the exclusion zone of the Fukushima nuclear power plant accident but desperately survived in abstract paintings. The author himself, who lives in Kobe, was also affected by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The Fukushima nuclear accident did not seem to be someone else’s problem, which led him to write this story. “I hope this book will inspire you to reconsider the dangers that lie next to a peaceful everyday life,” he continues.
