陸前高田市の松原七万本の内、で助かったのはたった一本だけでした。樹齢二五〇年の大きな松です。多くを失った風景の中で、その姿は、なんと凛々しく心強かったことでしょう。多くの人たちの希望の象徴として世界から注目されました。 その事実と歴史を物語風に描いています。この松を、数人の方が絵本に描いています。

Of the 70,000 pine trees in Rikuzentakata City, only one survived. It is a large pine tree that is 250 years old. In the midst of a landscape that had lost so much, how dignified and reassuring it was. It attracted attention from all over the world as a symbol of hope for many people.
