Hiyoriyama no Kanbei (ferry that has been taking passengers across the Hiyoriyama Mountains for nearly 400 years)

石巻市の日和山に暮らすカラスの視点から震災を描いた絵本「日和山のカン兵ェ」が発行された。登米市中田町の工務店経営、橘満さん(63が執筆し自費出版した。イラストは登米市在住のイラストレーター秋山清人さん(64)が担当。２人は昨年9月にも岩手県陸前高田市の「奇跡の一本松」を題材に絵本を出版しており、今回が2昨目となる。1冊700円(税込)。

A picture book titled “Hiyoriyama no Kanbei,” which depicts the earthquake disaster from the perspective of a crow living in Hiyoriyama, Ishinomaki City, has been published. Mitsuru Tachibana, 63, a construction company owner in Nakata-cho, Tome City, wrote the book and published it at his own expense. The illustrations are by Kiyoto Akiyama, 64, an illustrator living in Tome.
