Mama the Moon Rabbit” is a dedication to the young mothers, babies, and parents of the tsunami victims. It is also a dedication to the many victims and their bereaved families. (From the author’s afterword) — Based on her experiences in the Great East Japan Earthquake, the author, who lives in Miyagi Prefecture, wrote this picture book about a little girl’s mother and her mother’s parents after the disaster.
