松の木の子どもピノは、津波で親や友達を失い、悲しみの中、孤独な毎日を送っていました。一方、バイオリン作りの名人のおじいさんは、流された松の木でバイオリンを作ろうと思い立ちます。ピノとおじいさん、二人が出会い、そのバイオリンが奏でられるとき、奇跡がおとずれます。

この絵本も津波に耐えて残った陸前高田市の一本松に思いを重ねて、ファンタジーの手法で描いていま す。主人公は、子どもの松のピノで、大津波にあい、両親や友だちを亡くしました。悲しみのなか、孤独な毎日を送っていたピノは、楽器職人の
おじいさんに出会います。おじいさんはピノを慰めようと、松の流木でバイオリンを作りました。 流された松の魂は美しい音色になって奇跡を起こします。命が、次の世代にしっかりバトンタッチされることで、希望が見える結末になっています。
